BOOKKEEPING SERVICES FOR NONPROFITS
BEYOND THE NUMBERS
At Nonprofit Money Sense we’re all about helping your organization do what you do best by taking on the overwhelming task of creating and maintaining a proper accounting file for your nonprofit.
With a large array of services, let us handle the day-to-day bookkeeping, reporting, and tax preparation while you focus on fundraising, your mission, and those you serve.
After years of volunteering in the community for many local nonprofits, Amy McLaughry knows all about many of the burdens facing nonprofits on a daily basis. To monitor organizational finances on top of that can feel overwhelming. That's why she created Nonprofit Money Sense; to alleviate the burden nonprofits experience when maintaining a proper accounting file. Since 2016, Amy has helped dozens of nonprofits thrive.
Her years and varied positions as a board member and interim Executive Director for the Community College of Aurora Foundation have provided a greater understanding of the inner workings of a nonprofit organization. Amy realizes the importance of making sure the board stays on track to continue support of the mission, the careful handling of board dynamics, a full understanding of the financial requirements placed on charitable organizations, as well as the time constraints of the Executive Director and the many hats that must be worn on a daily basis.
“We must remember that one determined person can make a significant difference and that a small group of determined people can change the course of history.” –Sonia Johnson
A lifelong passion for numbers and a desire to help others has led Amy to use her talents and experience to work with those engaged in the social sector, striving to make a positive impact in their communities.
Helping nonprofits meet and exceed their goals is a passion of hers and she loves being a part of the solution.
WHAT PEOPLE SAY
Rebekah F., Executive Director
Amy has been a life-saver. Together, we moved 20 years of nonprofit membership records onto QB Online and sorted out the inconsistencies--which was a feat in itself. She helped me feel confident as I took over the financial oversight/responsibility for the nonprofit, including managing several fiscally sponsored projects, payroll, and tax filing.
