ABOUT US

After years of volunteering in the community for many local nonprofits, Amy McLaughry knows all about many of the burdens facing nonprofits on a daily basis. To monitor organizational finances on top of that can feel overwhelming. That's why she created Nonprofit Money Sense; to alleviate the burden nonprofits experience when maintaining a proper accounting file. Since 2016, Amy has helped dozens of nonprofits thrive.

Her years and varied positions as a board member and interim Executive Director for the Community College of Aurora Foundation have provided a greater understanding of the inner workings of a nonprofit organization. Amy realizes the importance of making sure the board stays on track to continue support of the mission, the careful handling of board dynamics, a full understanding of the financial requirements placed on charitable organizations, as well as the time constraints of the Executive Director and the many hats that must be worn on a daily basis.
